About Me and My Collaborators

Marisa Balistreri is a Madison, Wisconsin-based multi-genre vocalist. A former professional Italian opera singer, Marisa currently collaborates with her songwriter-guitarist husband, Stefan Hall, on original genre-crossing tunes inspired by Jazz, Blues, Latin, French Chansons and Folk music from around the world and encompassing several languages.

In the Madison, Wisconsin area, Marisa Balistreri Duo (Formerly ("Marisa + Stefan") has played at Pyramid Event Venue, Cargo Coffee East, Leopold's Books, Frugal Muse Books, Fromagination, The Cider Farm, Buck and Honey's Monona, private events and were featured on Channel 3000. Marisa's Duo has upcoming gigs at Cafe Coda, Cafe Carpe, Harmony Bar Paoli Schoolhouse and with D-Porch Sessions for Make Music Madison.

As a Jazz singer with various groups in Northeast Wisconsin, Marisa has sung at La Vie Boheme, The Blue Opus, Green Bay Artfest, Appleton Farmer's Market, Chefusion, Gibson Music Hall, Deja Vu, 6:30 Concert Series and at The Bremen Cafe in Milwaukee. Marisa was also seen on “Wisconsin Life”.

As an opera singer Marisa has sung at The Rome Opera, The Ravenna Festival, The Cairo Opera Company,  First Female Track on Holland America Line, The Milwaukee Chamber Theatre and The (Former) Madison Repertory Theatre, just to name a few of numerous performances.

Marisa is currently at work on her first full-length album of all original music by Stefan Hall.
